Oenology: Pedro Pereira
The natural approach to wine production allows enhancing the terroir getting the maxim elegance and purity in the final product. They are working with relatively young vines between 10 and 15 years old. The wine complexity is due to all their natural elements combined: granitic soils, high thermal amplitude, altitude of our vineyards (+400m) and the grapes. All Portuguese, all from the Dão region, the birthplace of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfocheiro and Jaen, complete the list for the reds. Encruzado, Malvasia fina, Cerceal, Bical and Verdelho for the whites.
The wines are handcrafted and look for personality, elegance and structure. Blends are what they do because this is the traditional and most complete way of making balanced wines in Portugal in general and in the Dão region in particular. They love all the hints that each grape brings to their wines and believe it also helps to increase the ageing potential. Of course, you can drink the wines immediately and enjoy them, but if you want, you can also discover something new and different when they have a few more years!
