Quinta da Eiró Virado a Sul Reserva White 2023

24.90

Yellow colour with a slightly golden hue. On the nose, it reveals great complexity, with ripe yellow-fleshed fruit (apricot and nectarine) and subtle notes of candied fruit, such as orange peel, giving it a profile of ripe citrus.
On the palate, it stands out for the contrast between a vibrant, fresh acidity and the smooth, creamy texture imparted by barrel ageing. It finishes fresh, long, and beautifully balanced, with a broad, creamy texture and a pronounced expression of fruit on the palate.

In the weeks leading up to the harvest, careful monitoring of the grapes’ ripeness is carried out through sensory and physico-chemical analyses. The best grapes are selected at harvest, and transport to the winery is done in 20 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the winery, a more detailed selection is performed on a sorting belt. After passing through the belt, the grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press, with only the juice obtained from gentle pressing used for the fermentation of this white wine. This juice is clarified by static decantation before alcoholic fermentation begins in stainless-steel tanks under controlled temperature (15 °C).
